Sudoku Coach Privacy Policy

Sudoku Coach is an iOS app and learning site from Frank Lab. We use limited data to run the app, improve lessons, support purchases, and understand whether the product is helping players learn Sudoku.

Information we may collect

App usage and learning events: signals such as screen views, lesson progress, hint usage, technique practice, and feature interactions, which may be measured per session or installation before being aggregated for product decisions.
Purchase and subscription status: information provided by Apple’s StoreKit and App Store systems so the app can unlock paid features and restore purchases.
Diagnostics: crash, performance, and device-level diagnostic information when enabled through Apple, Firebase, or similar tooling.
Support messages: information you choose to send us, such as screenshots, app version, iOS version, and issue descriptions.
Website analytics: page views, referral sources, App Store click events, and related browser/device signals collected by Google Analytics when analytics is enabled for this site.

How we use information

Provide core app functionality, including guided hints, technique lessons, and purchase restoration.
Improve onboarding, learning flows, explanations, and technique practice quality.
Diagnose crashes, performance problems, and support requests.
Measure aggregate acquisition and product health so we can decide what to improve next.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not ask you to create a Sudoku Coach account to use the app.
• We do not collect payment card numbers; purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple.
• We do not use website pages to control the app’s core puzzle, hint, purchase, or entitlement logic.

Third-party services

Sudoku Coach may use Apple services for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and crash diagnostics. The app may also use Firebase or Google services for analytics, diagnostics, and product health measurement. This website may load Google Analytics using Google’s gtag.js script when a Google Analytics ID is configured. These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and platform rules.

Data retention and choices

We keep support messages and operational records only as long as needed to respond, maintain the product, meet legal obligations, and improve service quality. You can manage app permissions in iOS Settings, manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple ID subscription settings, and use the Privacy Choices page for data or opt-out requests.

Children’s privacy

Sudoku Coach is a general-audience Sudoku learning product. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Sudoku Coach, the learning site, analytics, or App Store requirements change. The effective date above shows when this version was last updated.
